Rangers face competition if they want Oli McBurnie

Alan Nixon, a journalist for The Sun, revealed on his Patreon page that Oli McBurnie had garnered interest.

The well-known Bluenose is out of contract at relegated Premier League team Sheffield United. This could be his last chance to make his dream Ibrox move.

“Growing up, I was a huge Rangers fan, and this is something I’ve always wanted to do. “It’s all about timing.”

“Listen, this is an exclusive club. Have you ever visited the Old Firm? I’ve been to a lot of Old Firms, and I’ve never seen a game like this, either playing or watching. Most people who have visited them will say the same thing.

“I hope to play for the Rangers at the end of my career.” “I hope I get to see that side of it.”If not, I don’t. But I hope that by the end of my career, I will be able to say that I have played in an Old Firm.

According to Nixon, McBurnie might not see his ambition come true.

Antalyaspor are thought to be interested in signing the Scotland international as he recovers from a groin injury.

McBurnie debate has been around for years

McBurnie is usually a striker who divides opinion.

Aside from this season, his £20 million transfer to the Blades has been mainly unsuccessful, despite promotion to the Premier League.

Strikers are always judged by their goals, and he just hasn’t scored enough.

He has shown that he can score goals on occasion, but Rangers require an improvement rather than a gamble.

When Steven Gerrard spoke with McBurnie to discuss a prospective move, he was on form and had the ability to develop.

Since then, he’s missed too many games and spent too much time on the sidelines due to injuries.

Rangers don’t need another striker who can’t keep healthy or score consistently.

There’s little doubt that Rangers will acquire a guy who will run himself into the ground in Oli McBurnie, but if Philippe Clement wants to enhance his squad, he must do better.
