Few literary figures have been more closely linked to *The Sandman* than playwright William Shakespeare. In *The Sandman* #19, *A Midsummer Night’s Dream* established that characters like Auberon, Titania, and other faeries from Shakespeare’s works exist within the Sandman universe. Issue #75 further unveiled the full scope of the deal between Morpheus and Shakespeare, allowing his writings to inspire future generations.
