Nathaniel Chalobah, a midfield player for Sheffield Wednesday, may need to miss a little bit more time recovering from an injury.
The 29-year-old’s preseason injury has caused him to struggle, and when he did play in the Carabao Cup against Grimsby Town, he was also out for “a couple of weeks.” This has made his start at Hillsborough frustrating. It has since been clarified that he is still putting in a lot of effort to recover, but he might not be back on the field until the end of the month.
Röhl said, “He’s making progress,” to The Star. However, this ailment requires a little longer time. Nath’s injury history is somewhat erratic, so it’s critical that we get him back to full strength so he can continue playing at a high level as opposed to having him play 60 minutes and then miss another six weeks.
We’re working on it, and I believe it to be a major aspect. He works really hard in the gym and comes here every day, which is the perfect move. We’ll assist him if the time comes when he needs a few minutes to arrive.
“We would like him back as soon as possible, but I believe it will take until possibly right before the international break. We obviously hope it happens quickly because we have a lot of work ahead of us over the next few weeks, but you never know. Making him stronger than he was before is the goal.
Before the next international break, Wednesday has four Championship games remaining, starting this weekend with a trip to Luton Town. They will be exerting every effort to make their summer addition healthy and productive as quickly as possible so that he can begin contributing to S6.
