Birmingham City Midfielder traded to Nottingham Forest

According to a report by The Telegraph, Nottingham Forest is keeping an eye on Jordan James, the star player for Birmingham City.
This summer, Birmingham City will have to fight to hold onto the midfield player as teams from higher divisions will be vying for his services. Following their elimination from the Championship along with Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United, the Midlands team is preparing for life in League One under recently appointed manager Chris Davies.

Before making his first team debut, James, now 19 years old, was a regular for his current club’s youth division after moving up through the academy ranks. Currently one of their most valuable assets, he is in high demand during this transfer window.

According to The Telegraph’s most recent information about his future, Nottingham Forest in the Premier League is reportedly interested in him. Under Nuno Espirito Santo, the Reds were able to remain in the top division during the previous season.

Ace of Birmingham City eyed
James’ long-term future is uncertain because his contract with Birmingham City expires in 2025.

If they don’t capitalize on him now or in January, they run the chance of losing him in a year.

The majority of indicators suggest that he is leaving because it is difficult to envisage him competing in the third tier.

He might be seen by Nottingham Forest as a way to increase depth and competitiveness for their midfield options.

With 11 caps to his name, the Wales international made his debut in the Blues’ first squad in 2021 and hasn’t looked back.

To date, he has made 105 appearances for them in all competitions, and he has ten goals.
Despite their difficult season, James was a bright spot for Birmingham City last season, tallying eight goals in 47 games.
