BREAK THROUGH:Sunderland announces a new contract amid Everton’s interest

Sunderland plan major pitch overhaul after implementing mid-season fix over last fortnight - Chronicle Live

Pierre Ekwah’s goal gave the Wearsiders the victory on Saturday afternoon in the Championship, allowing Sunderland to get back on track against West Brom at The Hawthorns.

As Sunderland looks for a long-term replacement for Michael Beale, an appointment in the summer is expected for interim head coach Mike Dodds to continue in his role at the Academy of Light.

After Baggies midfielder Brandon Thomas-Asante was sent off for two cards, the second of which was for a foul on the defender, Dan Ballard garnered media attention both during and after the victory over West Brom.

Should the Premier League team decide to trade Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, the former Arsenal defender is allegedly drawing interest from teams looking to make a move, including Everton. The defense has kept five clean sheets in six games.

Ballard’s sale by Sunderland would be financially advantageous to his former club, Arsenal, given it was part of the agreement that brought the Northern Ireland international to the team two seasons prior. Football.London claims that the Gunners agreed to a “significant” sell-on clause back in 2022.

Ballard will remain with Sunderland until 2027 after agreeing to a new four-year deal in August of last year. This means the Black Cats are largely safeguarded from any summer bids.

Vaux contract announced by Sunderland

Sunderland and Vaux have confirmed their alliance.

To commemorate their new multi-million-pound agreement with kit manufacturer Hummel, the club is launching a special edition launch.

The 1992 FA Cup Final walk-out jacket and the 1993–94 third shirt, two iconic items that have never before been made available to fans, will be part of the first retro range.

Alongside the publication, Sunderland also revealed a partnership with Vaux. The club announced: “As part of the opening, we also partnered with Vaux Brewery, displaying the well-known taproom of the local brand and offering a tiny sample of our future retail offering.”

Sunderland has announced that 1,992 items from the limited selection will be available starting on Monday. The products will be available both in-store and online, contingent on availability.
