Leeds United is considering a dramatic re-signing of Jack Clarke this month after the forward turned down a new contract offer from Sunderland, according to sources from Football Insider.
With the transfer window closing soon, Leeds is actively seeking a proven forward to replace Crysencio Summerville and accommodate Georginio Rutter’s impending transfer to Brighton. The 23-year-old Clarke is now a target for Leeds, though Southampton is also showing interest.
West Ham had previously shown interest in Clarke back in January, but they have not pursued him further. Clarke, who originally came through Leeds United’s academy, played for the club until 2019 before moving to Tottenham Hotspur.
Leeds United see Jack Clarke as an answer to their problems
Daniel Farke is keen to bolster his squad with a proven forward before the transfer window closes, following the departure of two of his most creative players.
Jack Clarke, an experienced winger with familiarity of playing at Elland Road, could be a valuable addition. His potential to slot directly into the starting lineup aligns well with Farke’s need for an immediate impact.
