Sunderland received a transfer boost with a £20 million valuation and a potential £50.7 million Premier League deal.

Sunderland are reportedly valuing their young talent, Jobe Bellingham, at around £20 million amid Premier League interest.

Sunderland has received a potential transfer boost this summer following recent reports about Jobe Bellingham. The 18-year-old played 43 Championship matches in the 2023-24 season, scoring seven goals, after joining from Birmingham last summer. His impressive form has attracted transfer interest, with Crystal Palace showing strong interest.

Tottenham, Brentford, and newly-promoted Southampton are also monitoring Bellingham’s situation. However, Sunderland values him at approximately £20 million, with 15 percent of any transfer fee owed to his former club, Birmingham City. Although the length of Bellingham’s Sunderland contract was not disclosed, it is understood he has three years remaining.

According to Alan Nixon, Crystal Palace is not yet ready to advance their interest in Jobe. Palace player Michael Olise is set to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth around £50.7 million. Despite this, Nixon notes that the financial windfall is unlikely to prompt immediate offers for Jobe from Sunderland.

Reports suggest that Sunderland’s valuation of Jobe is currently seen as too high, with Palace aiming to sign players who can immediately impact Oliver Glasner’s squad for the 2024-25 Premier League season. Nixon’s report adds there are doubts about whether Jobe could influence top-flight games right now, with a preference to reassess after another season in the Championship.
