The Victorian club recognised Christian Welch, Cameron Munster, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, and staff member Ashley Tucker onto their list of life members during their life members dinner, which was held on the same night as the NRL inducted new Hall of Fame members and Ron Coote as the 14th Immortal.

Welch, who has played 158 games for the Storm to date and captained the team in 2022 and 2023, becomes the 35th member of the Storm for life.

Welch was a junior with the club and participated in the under-20 tournament prior to making his NRL debut in 2015. He was a member of the 2020 NRL premiership winning side.

Asofa-Solomona, a New Zealander who made his NRL debut in 2015, was given the honour alongside Welch, another forward in the ranks.

The prop, a 15-time NRL representative, will play in his 200th NRL match this weekend, making him the tenth player in club history to accomplish the achievement.

Although he has a long contract with the Victorian-based team, the talented forward has recently been linked to leaving.

Munster, who is 38 years old and a life member, will be remembered as one of the best Storm players ever.

Munster, who made his NRL debut in 2014, has played in 206 games, including four grand finals, and is a certain to go into the Hall of Fame. He was named the Storm’s members player of the year in 2018 and 2022. Along with other State of Origin achievements, he also has 12 tests.

Prior to taking over as temporary CEO during the Covid pandemic, Tucker, the other life member, held positions in the Storm’s finance, legal, and IT departments.
