Yohan Ramírez signs for Dodgers

The Dodgers’ search for bullpen depth continues. On Monday, they traded for experienced right-hander Yohan Ramírez, sending financial considerations to the Mets.

Ramírez has a 6.91 ERA and 3.78 xERA in 10 games with the Mets and Orioles this season. He has 17 strikeouts and six walks in 14⅓ innings. Last Wednesday, New York designated him for assignment.

Ramírez has pitched for seven major league teams in three seasons, including the Mariners, Guardians, Pirates, White Sox, Mets, and Orioles since 2022. He was with the Mets twice this season, starting with New York before being dealt to the Orioles on April 11. The Mets claimed him off waivers on May 6.

In five seasons in the majors, Ramírez has a 4.29 ERA in 112 relief appearances, with 145 strikeouts and 75 walks in 138⅓ innings. The 29-year-old is out of minor league options, having used them in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
