Veteran forward Jack Darling has been traded to North Melbourne in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick
The West Coast Eagles have today reached agreement with North Melbourne on a trade that will see premiership forward Jack Darling continue his career at Arden Street.
Darling, who sits second on the Eagles all-time goalkicking and games played lists with 532 goals from 298 matches, has secured a multi-year deal with the Kangaroos.
Gavin Bell, General Manager Football, said the club respected Darling’s decision to finish his career elsewhere and facilitated the trade amicably in one of the first deals completed on day one of trade period.
“Jack has been an outstanding contributor to the West Coast Eagles over the last 15 years and we appreciate the reasons for his decision to join North Melbourne,” Bell said.
“He is obviously a highly decorated premiership player and a life member, who we thank for his excellent service to our club.
“On behalf of the club, I’d like to wish Jack, Courtney, Max, Leo and Rosie all the best for the future.”
In exchange for Darling the Eagles will receive North Melbourne’s fourth round selection (currently No.67).
