The summer saw the former Manchester City prospect depart the Etihad Stadium, and he may soon be playing for Wrexham AFC.The manager of Wrexham, Phil Parkinson, hasn’t completely ruled out the prospect of bringing in Josh Adam as a free agent from Manchester City. The 20-year-old was released by Pep Guardiola’s team during the summer transfer window, and he has been on trial with the League One leaders for a few weeks while he searches for a new team.
Before moving to Manchester City, where he was instrumental in two straight Premier League 2 championship victories, Adam started his career with Celtic. Before his stint with the Blues ended in the summer, he made 99 appearances for the team at various youth levels, recording 18 goals and 12 assists.
The attacking midfielder was reportedly attracting interest from Lille and Club Brugge a year ago, but it appears that a transfer to North Wales will mark the next phase of his career.
Following the weekend’s victory over Shrewsbury, Parkinson remarked, “At the moment we will roll with what we have.” “We don’t want to bring someone in just for the sake of it since we have some good players who haven’t figured anything out yet.
Josh Adam, a young man from Manchester City, was brought in for a trial. We would prefer to maintain him as a player because of his genuine skill, but we now have too many senior players vying for spots.
